City Council will move forward on a collaborative with the local nonprofit, Future Heights, to create a Community Development Corporation as part of a strategy sessions with Enterprise Community Partners.

Council will recess in August, but City Manager Tanisha Briley said she plans to bring a facilitator on board to assist on establishing “priorities, governance and financing,” as Councilwoman Carol Roe put it.

The strategy session was part of a presentation from Enterprise Community Partners of Columbia, MD., who put together a report on the CDC proposal through the city’s affiliation with the National Resource Network.
