311 for Cities: Managing High Crime Rate Apartment Complexes

How To, Guide, or Manual National Resource Network March 18, 2017

In March 2017, a city submitted a request through the National Resource Network’s 311 for Cities feature seeking assistance to better manage apartment complexes with consistently high crime rates. The following write-up was researched, developed, and shared with the city by the Network. The Network notes that a city’s approach to this situation will vary depending on the type of crime, demographics and characteristics of the housing and the broader community, and other factors.
